They all stood in the little red cottage and watched…all 8 or so girls and her Mom. Mary’s silhouette against the soft white curtains was elegant. First the dress, then the shoes and jewelry….it was complete and she was ready! :) They all watched as she zipped up her dress and beamed with excitement for the day that was ahead. It didn’t matter that it had just started sprinkling rain outside. She looked at me with a HUGE smile and said “Can I go now? Can I go see Elliot?” The sheer energy of the day was lead by Mary’s gorgeous smile and eagerness to marry the man of her dreams! :)
She walked outside with the umbrella in hand…..she saw him standing under a giant apple tree with his back turned. She walked up to him, gave him a tap on the shoulder and the moment just melted away! :) Today was the day. Today was the day that Elliot and Mary were to become Man and Wife and you could tell by the smiles on their faces and the slight tears in their eyes that they were ready! :)
With the rain sprinkles gone for the day, they said their vows under the twinkling (and hot) sunlight with the beauty of the flower gardens nearby. Everyone’s joy was written all over their faces as they couldn’t imagine any two people more perfect for one another! The night went on as everyone transitioned from the organic flower gardens of Camrose Hill to the classy and stunning Calhoun beach club. The night was filled with with hilarious and heart-felt toasts, a fabulous rendition of the St. Olaf fight song (wow!) and some dancing of a lifetime! :)
The day was elegant, classy, joyful and perfect. And the night finished with a celebration! :)
Congratulations Mr and Mrs Robia! :) MANY hugs to you both, it was an HONOR to be invited into your day! :)
And ending the night with dippin’ dots! I mean, how perfect is that?!?! :)
