Call us unadventurous or crazy, but Aaron and I have found the glory is being lazy and doing nothing on vacation. I have found that I to gain the most “juice” and inspiration when I just sit and listen. Relax. Breathe in and out and just sit. Yes, knitting, sewing, cooking…they all get me inspired and excited about life, but there is something so fabulous about just sitting and doing nothing! :)
As a businesswoman and a creative businesswoman at that, I know that I need to carve out time to sit. Calm down, get away from hectic, don’t read e-mails, blogs, facebook, twitter…nothing. Just sit and relax. Taking deep breaths does something for my creative energy and I haven’t discovered this until recently. When I take one morning a week to breath deep and enjoy some time for myself I tend to LOVE the next handful of photographs I take…..when I get consumed with e-mails, clients, other photographers, to-do lists and demands I get drained, emotional and I’m not myself. And I hate that.

One of my MOST FAVORITE places in the world is the North Shore and I was up there just this weekend. The air is crisper, the water is serene and the sound of the waves crashing….ahhhh..I am SURE that there will be shorelines in every direction in heaven, I’m SURE of it! :) Aaron and I have vacationed up there quite a bit and it is one of our most favorite places to breathe deeply and sit………although I was just up there this weekend I miss it already!
