So, I just finished this fabulous (well, I think it’s fabulous) tunic! YAY! :) Embarrassingly enough, I have had this Amy Butler pattern sitting next to my sewing machine for about a year and I’ve even had the fabric sitting about 10 feet away the entire time (the fabric is the Little Folks collection from the fabulous Anna Maria Horner by the way)! Just last week, I decided that it was time to break this thing open and give it a whirl! I’m loving the results and as a matter of fact, have already purchased another 3 yards of fabric to make another one! Double yay! It is a pretty simple pattern with a lining, front back and the yolk portion near the top…it encloses with 4 buttons on the back and it really REALLY easy to fit since it the cut doesn’t have to fit snug to your body (you can’t really screw up on the measurements or cutting, which I love! :)
The reality is that I will probably wear it to weddings with leggings since I end up bending over, running, squatting, jumping and basically end up in crazy positions while shooting (don’t ask)! :) BUT with Easter coming this weekend, it was a good excuse to blog my accomplishment since most girls get Easter dresses or outfits to wear on Sunday! :)
So, there we have it! Taa Dadaadaaaaaa!
I hope you all get to color eggs, hunt for Easter Baskets and hug your family this weekend! Happy Easter Friends! :)
I love everything about this, including how you put the outfit together…. leggings, adorable boots and belt. Now I wanna make one!
Pretty darn cute Emily! I like it alot :-) Can’t wait to pop the baby out so I can wear one too!! :-)

You are ADORABLE! I love the pattern and fabric and I’m excited that you’ve found a great outfit for spring/summer wedding shoots AND various outings around town. You are beautiful and it’s fun to see pictures of you on your blog.
Adorable – both you and the tunic!
